Old Club Song Unearthed: A search of the archives has uncovered the Victoria University Rugby Club's old footie song, called 'Green and Gold'. The song was penned by renowned scholar-athlete Froggy de la Mare in the early 1900s. You can read the lyrics here.

The Jackie Ruru Story: The Jackie Ruru Shield is the Ranfurly Shield of Old Boys-University rugby. As the holders will tell you, it's the symbol of social rugby supremacy. Little is known, however, about the man the shield memorialises - Jackie Ruru, who died while playing rugby union football at the age of 24.
